My dad, and uncle, took me, my brothers and cousins on a snipe hunt. It was a grand experience and taught me an important lesson: Never trust your dad, if he's drinking beer.
Anyway, the snipe hunt was grand, but the following video has it beat.
How about that moms? Doesn't that give you a sense of trust?
I used to haul worms around in my pockets when I was a kid. Always baited my own hook when I went fishing. But I don't believe I would try to eat one - not even for cash. Makes me wonder what my kids did when I wasn't home. They have told me some stuff, like when they filled the rural mailbox with garden snakes and salamanders. Bet they haven't told me all!

ReplyDeleteI had a lot of brothers. It's unwritten, but many of the things we did are never to be told.
DeleteHey, I was impressed they called the worms by their scientific name, Annelids.
ReplyDeleteMe too; but then beer drinking dads have a tendency to say just about anything.
DeleteSnipes!!! I have 3 older brothers whom I idolized and followed everywhere...nuff said...
