She played the local clubs, including those right across the river, like "The Texas Pelican and Lou Ann's.Legal age in Texas was 21, but you could go across the Sabine and enjoy a drink. You might even find somebody like George Jones, or Janis Joplin.
She was a favorite when she'd come north to Ypsilanti, also.
She's a real jewel and doesn't receive the recognition she deserves.
