I write all the time about the foolishness of allowing any government entity to meddle. If you don't believe me, read at the following link and go get a cookie.
I don't think they do. They feel they deserve their royal perks, ignore fiscal responsibility to those that pay taxes and are having a grand time...for now. They'll eventually all pay for their transgressions in one way, or another.
Geez! I suppose they have no problem stealing candy from babies either.
