Los Angeles is a huge amount of the population that makes up the state of California. Their dislike of current events, a seething anger, and a demand for change may lead to a revolt that changes the state. It won't take much to start the revolt, but the outcome for those so willing to sacrifice their own citizens for unrealistic goals will be the worst. Some will escape the wrath of those injured, but those without the resources, and with no way to escape, may find their lives miserable for a long, long time. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of folks, and considering how much many lost, and will lose forever, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes. They will find they're alone, and safety a major concern. Time will tell how this works out, but for those that lost everything, their anger has no limits.
Those that lost everything voted for it, and don't have sufficient capacity for self reflection to change.

DeleteThere will be a lot of anger, a lot of shouting, a lot of threats. The mayor will lose her job. The fire chief will let lose her job. GrabEm Nuisance will probably see his political career end. But nothing significant will change. Kali is too far gone to save. Once the fires are out and something else happens...or is made to occur...the denizens of LA will forget and move on.
ReplyDeleteThe correct punishment for officials is much more harsh than just losing their job. In a perfect world, those that escaped a lynching would be imprisoned for life.
DeleteThose that lost everything will vote a straight ticket Democrat the next time around because they just cannot imagine "NOT" voting for someone with a (D) behind their name.
ReplyDeleteThere lays the biggest problem. Those that produce don't have the vote to change things...at least that's how it appears. Since California doesn't demand voting identification, it really doesn't matter to those that count the votes.
