In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Almost a Quarter Century

It's been 24 years since the Feds decided the Branch Davidians were a cult, and exterminated all that resisted. Researching the event can lead to all types of opinions, but one fact remains: The government felt the compound was a cult, they wanted to see what they had in their compound, and Bill Clinton allowed Janet Reno to attack the compound after a 51 day siege. Seventy six of those in the compound died, including women and children.

Maybe the Branch Davidians should have proclaimed they were Muslim, and their compound was a mosque. Considering how things are today, nobody would think of attacking their compound, or consider a search warrant.

  1. Well said. And true. I am getting tired of federal and local government officials kissing the feet of the muslims who are busy plotting ways to kill us.

    1. Like all things in the past, if the government doesn't stop it, the people will.

  2. I was thinking that the federal government had some concern over armaments in the compound but then again they don't care about the armaments found in mosques either do they?

    1. They were looking for automatic weapons components. They could have just sent a few agents in suits, knocked on the door, and probably would have been let in, if they were polite. Instead, the attempted to storm the compound, which was what the Davidians were told would be the start of an effort to destroy them

It all went downhill from there.

  3. Hardly anybody remembers Ruby Ridge or Waco today. Janet Reno was a nightmare, and Bill Clinton let her ride roughshod over him, then tried to say he didn't know what was going on.

    1. Bill Clinton has always been a coward. His cowardly way of dealing with Reno was pathetic.
