In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

It's a Crying Shame

There are many dark things that occupy our society. They overwhelm, destroy, subjugate and cause harm to those that only wish for peace and liberty. It's a crying shame we've accepted such things, and our government is full of those that would rather acquire power, than accept the will of those that allow them to exist.

  1. I often think the shame is ours for allowing these things to happen to us. Someone in government finds a new way to stomp all over our Constitutional rights, we are outraged, and then we move on to the next outrage without ever doing anything about the first. And so it builds until one day we discover what slavery is all about. And it is too late.

    1. I think the media blackout is failing. Polls indicate the public is outraged and even the media will be forced to accept their will, or accept servitude to a cruel master.

  2. The only reason our government and politicians are where they are is the stupidity and memory of the American people.

    1. I blame the stupidity on the apathy of parents and their acceptance of the poor education given to their children. Even teachers have become stupid, they fail to realize their part in increasing the ignorance of those eventually decide their fate.

  3. We've not really accepted such things, Jess. Unlike most societies who grab pitchforks and torches when they've had enough from a tryannical ruler, we mob the ballot boxes when things start going badly for us as a result of bad government.

Just like last election. But grabbing the pitchforks is not alien to even us Americans. We've come pretty close to doing so not all that long ago in Nevada, and the border situation may develop a pitchfork mentality as well if our current socialist administration continues with its plan to throw open our borders.

    1. Who would rally the pitchfork and torch rally, even if only a theatrical demonstration, much less the real thing?
      I have some vacation left.

    2. Acceptance may be a poor choice of words, although it describes the current state of too many U.S, citizens. Their major power at this point is to stop all interaction with the media outlets that are part of the destruction of the United States, yet they can't find the gumption to use this power and stop watching their favorite television programs.

  4. "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Voice" indeed have a Svengali-like influence among those whom Dr. Jonathan Gruber refers to as stupid American voters. Oh, and don't forget "Dance Moms"...
