Passing of a Legend
Merle Haggard has died. Fighting pneumonia, pneumonia won. May he rest in peace.
His legacy includes being a drunk, a failed marriage, and numerous cancellations of shows, yet his fans knew he never was condescending, and understood the heart of those that struggled in the real world.
George had a gift, and those that understand such gifts, understand the burdens it can bring..
I don't think we will ever see anyone who can compare to those of his era. Rest in peace.
