In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Bunches of Questions

This pandemic raises many questions:

- Was the reaction worth the consequences?

- Will there ever be an accurate count of those affected?

- Will there be a demand for returning to work before the authorities are willing to allow that to happen?

- How much of the economy will remain damaged?

- Was the illness as dangerous as reported?

- Will enough people understand the facts, make logical decisions, and have a willingness to self-educate on such things?

This will probably be the most significant event during my lifetime. With the results maybe lasting for decades, my observation time may be limited. I hope more people will realize how tenuous societies can be, and make the good choices for the continuation of liberty.

    No.
    Possibly.
    At least half.
    Definitely no.
    Hell, no.

Sigh. I think we've all pretty much had the bun. There are probably at least 3 nation states in Canada, possibly four or five in America... and none of us are getting along. In fact, some of them are shaping up to prey on the others and will probably have to be dealt with at some point.

    But whadda I know?

    1. States seem to want to fight their battles in the courtroom. The results will determine how the war progresses.

  2. We've been had.
People will probably never learn the degree to which we were, because their source of news is not a source of news.

    1. I think more will come out than in the past. How people react will be to be seen.

  3. Two sides shouting at one another soon, and neither can win their argument:
"HOW MANY PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVELIHOOD AND POSSIBLY THEIR LIVES BECAUSE WE FOOLISHLY SHUT THE COUNTRY DOWN?"
    And-
"HOW MANY LIVES WERE SAVED BECAUSE WE ACTED ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION?"
And there'll be TONS of money spent on studies, won't there? :)

    1. The amount of money to be doled out is not even close to what was lost in earnings. That will steer the narrative.

  4. We will not economically recover from this. Every time there are a few Trillion printed for this or for that, it becomes the new bench mark. The new starting point, if you will. Like the universe, we are accelerating exponentially our expansion towards collapse, but not before another big bang.

    1. Economics will change, and I doubt enough will understand how they did.
