In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Robotic Surgery

Since my hernia surgery is impending, I've spent some time examining the procedures, my surgeon's qualifications, and found robotics will be used for my surgery. It's a laparoscopic procedure, but instead of the surgeon manipulating instruments manually, they use 3D imaging, and robotic instruments are manipulated as the surgeon operates at a console. It's like the robotic deep sea ROV's without the currents, curious fish, and the possibility of a large wave influencing the operation. I'm hoping my surgeon has a good night's sleep before the procedure, and nobody creeps up behind him and pops a balloon while he's working.
