In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Alternative Energy

It sounds real good, until you stop and realize it's a huge money pit, with the money thrown into the pit coming from naive investors and public funds. Even with this money, the companies that supposedly are developing this "green" energy are not surviving. Meanwhile, enough energy to last for centuries is sequestered by regulations, permitting and political discussion. From my perspective, the asylum is being run by the inmates.

  1. Apparently alternative energy is meant to be paid for with alternative money. Monopoly funds, perhaps, or just good old fashioned gulag slave labor. For the good of the people, of course.

  2. I've watched the Solyndra debacle for the last few month and it only appears to be one of many. Billions of tax dollars are gone to the bankruptcy court, which ends up with a return of pennies on the dollar, to the secured creditors as first in line. Considering that the investment created little more than unicorn farts, the money would have been more useful being used for a campfire to roast marshmallows.
