I do. I sit down to write, and find my mind blank, or an unwillingness to rehash the constant aggravations during the day. I don't know the solution, but I'm leaning toward more fiction and recollections of life experiences.
We shall see.
In Case You've Wondered
My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.
If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com
One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.
I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

I wish I had your skill with short stories.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little strange. Up to a few years ago, my urge to write was occasional and ignored. For some reason, I wrote a small memory piece for a high school class newsletter and was little amazed at the response. After a classmate urged me to write, and LeeAnn asked why I didn't have a blog, I started a blog and the writing bug has become almost an obsession.
ReplyDeleteLeeAnn has that effect on people.
ReplyDeleteThere are times when I think I'm balancing too many plates on too many poles, but I somehow keep typing.
