In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

I'm Beginning to Wonder...

...about my mental state.

I was listening to the news report about the big lottery winners. After listening to the report, and thinking about what I would do, if I won, and I realized I wasn't thinking about what I'd buy; I was thinking about how I could give money, without anybody knowing where it came from.

I don't know if that's normal, or not. Maybe it has to do with age. There's a point where the best things in life are good meals, long naps and pleasant conversations.

  1. That's not weird at all. You could NEVER spend it all and think of how many people's live's you could enrich by sharing. What is the take home amount 400,000,000.00 million? You could safely invest 100 million for yourself and your ancestors. Then start a foundation with 300 million (maybe like Make A Wish) and hire a staff to find people that YOU would make the decision to anonymously give the money too. Think about how your life would change knowing you helped someone by giving them 10 thousand or 100 thousand or any amount you deemed they needed. If you had 300 million to give away, and you decided to give it in 100 thousand increments. You could help 3000 individuals of your chosing.

It's a nice thought :) You could make that a business for the rest of your life.

  2. There was a tv show called The Millionaire in which every week a check was given to a random person.
It was fiction, but it portrayed the reaction to the gift.

  3. Same here. My plan would involve setting up a foundation that funds education for people who have done or are doing something to earn the assistance, or working while going to school, encouraging work ethic makes it a real investment..
