In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Thanksgiving Thoughts

There's much to be thankful for, but time changes the event of Thanksgiving. Where the past brought huge family gatherings, the scattering of lives leaves less to attend and more moments to cherish. We are human and eventually pass on, which means our experiences eventually fade to obscurity and diminishing memories.

If you have family, spend some time with them, even if it's only a phone call. If not, spend time with friends. The short moments and opportunities to visit are limited and you can never take any for granted. If you are religious, thank God for you blessings and spend your time with those you care about as though you may never see them again.

Bless you all that visit my blog. I'm thankful for your time; it's a precious commodity and I'm blessed by your thoughts.

  3. My, ehem, Gf of many years worked in several nursing homes before rupturing a disc in her neck while on the job. Several of her former co-workers who have to work the holiday first shift are coming over for dinner. It's the least we could do for them considering if they were selfish and home or went on strike like some unions are going to their customers would receive less than the optimal care they've earned and pay for.
So... I'm thankful for after 4 years of the Obama economy we can still afford to do this, especially after Obama's F.D.A. shut down the department I worked in last year at a major (HUGE) MD&D manufacturer and managed to keep my job while half of the staff in my department and 1/6 of the facility staff got axed.
