In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Clueless and Compelled

As I was driving along today, I was thinking about my youth, when I played a lot of pool at a friend's, and a short story idea popped into my head.

I'm clueless to why this happens. It never did in the past, but now it does and the story occupies my thoughts until I do something.

In a way, it's a wonderful thing. In another, it's a cruel master that never lets up.

If I have time, I'll try to write it this weekend. If not, it will appear eventually. It's uncontrollable and I have no choice.

  1. See? I never had these mind bombs until I started blogging. I think there's a subconscious search always going on due to our personal push to feel we have something of importance to tell. I never do, but somehow, with the right twist and wordage, it happens. I've also discovered that if you PUSH it, it's a lousy read. If you just let the small thing appear on the screen, it flows outward.

So, don't push for the details. They'll come as you forget about yourself and let your fingers do the work.

p.s. I used to LOVE playing pool with the big guys, but one night I got so damn competitive that when I lost (being a poor loser) I actually dared him to settle it outside, in a drag race. We did. I'm SO relieved that I'm no longer competitive. (I just lied so bad I blushed)

  2. I had some before I started, but since blogging, the occurrence can be often, or not.
