In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

There Will Not Be a Poll

I could probably figure one out, but polls are numbers, generated by people, that can be a little dishonest on the internet. That's why I'm only asking for comments; by real people or extremely talented bots.

So, I have a question:

During all this hoopla about the name "Washington Redskins", do you actually know anyone that's offended by the name? If so, did you ask for a reason? If you're offended, explain to me why.

I'm holding my breath; don't make me pass out.

    1. It's a little known fact, but the Lone Ranger never forgave Tonto, after he found out Kemosabi meant "chicken shit".

  2. I know one guy who says that he is offended, but he is offended by most anything that does not toe the "progressive" line.

  6. Most of us are part indian. All my mom was missing was a feather in her hair.

The Redskins signifies indians just like Panthers signify panthers and Black Panthers signify.....aw hell. Nevermind. Polls usually have three options: yes, no, and not sure. I've always wondered why a person would go to the trouble to take a poll regarding their opinion if they're not sure to begin with.

The ones who take umbrage are usually pissed off about everything anyway, and I even doubt that an indian was the one who got their knickers in a knot over the word.

    1. I think some people like polls, because they think it's important; like the Nielsen Television Survey.

I took that years ago. I was all proud, thinking how important my opinion was, and they sent me two quarters for my effort....cheap bastards.

Now they are the Eagles. At least they are not the emu's.
Local indians were offended that the name was being changed as they thought it honored them.
    That didn't matter.
The liberal's feelings are all that matters.
