In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

As Things Change

This is the time of year I most enjoy. The temperature, and the drier air, make most clear days as pleasurable as they can be. The one thing missing is spending some of these days with my oldest brother. He loved these days like I do. His death left a huge hole in my life, and I'll miss him as long as I remain on this earth.

  1. I am sorry for your loss, Jess. Some things are just bittersweet.

  2. It is difficult missing those we've lost. The hole heals up a bit as the years go by, but never really goes away. Wouldn't really want it to, though..as Vicki said, it's just bittersweet.

    1. He was the last of my three brothers. Like the two before, his passing was unexpected and quick.

  3. Spent the afternoon cleaning out the garage with Pugsley. He's a good kid to work with - and heaven knows at the age of 14 there won't be many more days I'll get to work with him.

Now, in fairness, he did make most of the messes in the garage . . .

    1. Making messes is in our genes. Cleaning up messes has to be learned; sometimes forced.

  4. Be happy you had a family Jess. Take extra care with the ones you still have and enjoy the fall.
