Regardless of their theatrics, the Texas Senate passed the redistricting map, which was the impetus for Democrat Congress members to run away. It was a grand performance, but now they have to come home to face the consequences. Their money provider had his funds cut off, they are being fined $500 each day they don't return, and in my opinion, they need to stay away for a long time. The fines will add to the public funds, although I doubt many have the funds to pay their fine.
In Case You've Wondered
My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.
If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com
One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.
I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

An Old Adage
Fani Willis, who is attempting to prosecute Donald Trump by methods beyond what is allowed by jurisprudence, has now been showed to have lied about her romantic relationship with a hired attorney. It's a fine example of the old adage "You don't screw the help" and at the rate she's going, she not only faces contempt charges, she might have her law license removed, which will end her legal career. Maybe she can learn to code.

Lack of Something
I've been keeping up with the Presidential Race...if you want to call it that. There's something lacking in the Presidential bearing of too many of the candidates.
On the Democratic side:
There's an idealistic, unrealistic Socialist, that doesn't have a clue, or is unwilling to admit Socialism is a Democracy without liberty. History shows it ends in ruin, and the fact anyone accepts Bernie Sanders as a candidate is a sign of an unhealthy ignorance.
Hillary can only be described as reprobate. Her quest for power has no bounds, and the litter of her ascension to power is filled with criminal acts that once demanded long terms in prison.
On the Republican side:
Trump says what many want to hear, but his past shows he plays the game of political corruption to buy favors. Otherwise, if it's advantageous to grease the palms of one party, that's the path to take. If the other party shows signs of power, that's where the money goes. If both parties show signs of an advantage, then both parties receive funds to keep the possibility of favors in the future.
There is no integrity in paying for favors. In the end, the price is too high to buy back your integrity. Trump, in my opinion, can't be trusted. His goals are for Trump.
Cruz is a Constitutional Conservative. If you could bring back the founders of the United States, I think you'd find they would be attracted to Ted Cruz's message. That's a good thing, but the evil of our society don't like the mandate of individual responsibility. There is nothing to gain, if those you wish to control have the power to destroy your quest for power. Cruz, if he becomes the Republican candidate, will find the barrels of both sides of the power in Washington D.C. are aimed to insure his destruction.
Rubio is a passing fancy. He is a proven politician; a word merchant if you will. Considering his avoidance of the job he was hired to do - while spending millions with the goal of the Presidency - how can he be trusted to be President, if he's willing to avoid his job for personal gain?
Kasich is a paid hack. He could care less about being President, but knows he might have a lucrative future if he continues to dance to the music of the Republican establishment.
So, here we're at another crossroads for the nation, and it looks as though the souls of many are ready for sell to the highest bidder. How it all turns out will only be found in the future. I'll sit and let my feet hang down, while I watch.

Loose Lips Sink Ships
The slogan during WW II was a warning of how comment perceived as innocent could have drastic consequences. Enemies of the United States were looking for any information available to help with their effort to win the war.
Now, it's not so much as "loose lips", its electronic communications. Unsecured email accounts become treasures for anyone looking for information, and the consequences can be deadly. The name of a covert operative may lead to the death of the operative, or worse: their family and friends.
While the problem with Hillary Clinton's unsecured email server, with the unsecured messages, is being downplayed, the possibility that important information regarding the safety of taxpayers was frivolously placed for anyone with skills to retrieve.
What are the consequences? First, every email sent to Hillary Clinton, or sent by Hillary Clinton, may now be readily available to those that are willing to kill innocent people to promote their cause. To add insult to injury, every bit of top secret information accessible by the State Department can now only be assumed to be compromised.
So, now what happens? The usual song and dance has started, but the realization of the problems is just now becoming apparent to the general public. While many may think it's only an inconvenience, those that may have their lives destroyed, or have family members killed due to the incompetence, will hardly call their live changing experiences "inconvenient".
Meanwhile, the Attorney General is sitting on her hands. Her loyalty is obviously for a political ideology, instead of the safety of those that trusted the government to protect them from harm.

Now They Really Stepped In It
The Obama Administration has shown it's not made up of the sharpest knives in the drawer. Their errors are numerous and many have broken laws, which I think is probably due to ignorance in most cases. They rectify these transgressions by hype, outright lying and just ignoring the consequences, with the hope the media will continue to wave the pom-poms and cheer at the right moments.
I think they made the fatal mistake with the trade of Taliban senior officials for one U.S. soldier, who's motives for abandoning his post in a war theater are questionable. To make matter worse, their attempt to put some feathers in the President's cap has now been shown to be outside the law and possibly treasonous.
The tap dancing will be furious, but I have the feeling this one will lead to some serious charges, which even the military yes-men can't ignore. They have to deal with the troops, and they're dealing with people that learned a long time ago to take care of their own problems. Not only that, they're fairly dangerous people and all the polished brass won't stop the wrath of those that suffered, watched friends die and spent so many long years away from their families.
Adding insult to injury, the media is now placed in a very uncomfortable position. They operate overseas under the protection of our troops. Piss them off, and the protection might become only a pretended effort. That's dangerous stuff, when you're in Injun country, which is now most anywhere other than the United States.
I'm sitting with my feet hanging down on this one. The price for this dog and pony show is too high for those that made the presentation.

Do You Want To Know What's Wrong With Washington D.C. ?
This is. Harry Reid called those adversely affected by Obamacare liars, then lies about calling them liars.
Until the likes of Harry Reid are thrown into tanks full of hungry sharks on Fridays, at 12:00 pm, until they're all gone, Washington D.C. will be a huge accumulation of the most noxious, lying, thieving, worthless reprobates ever assembled in history.

Hillary's Regret
Hillary Clinton's biggest regret is what happened in Benghazi. Now, I don't know how you think, but I don't regret anything I never was responsible for happening, such as the weather, or automobile accidents in another state.
I consider her regret an admittance of incompetence and culpability. Anyone that even considers her for President is due for consideration of "The Biggest Dumbass of the Year" award.
She's not worthy to transfer piss from one toilet to another.

State of the Economy
If you watch some media outlets, the economy is recovering and everything is looking better.
If you watch other media outlets, the economy is a mess, and things won't get better for a long time.
If you ask me, the economy is being held down by the government. If they let up, the economy will rebound and the current administration will look like the clowns they are.
If they don't let up, the economy will continue to have problems, although those higher in the food chain of the government don't seem to be having any problems. Their healthcare is free; they have tons of perks; their salaries rise, in spite of how many in the private sector lose jobs, or lose purchasing power due to increases in costs; they ignore the constituents that pay their salaries; and they live in a government Disneyland, where unemployment is down, housing prices are increasing, businesses are doing fine and the harsh realities of a bad economy everywhere, but D.C., is either ignored, or they're oblivious.
Whether those in D.C., and the media, realize it, or not, the rest of the country is fed up and the grumbling is becoming more than grumbling. To make their situation worse, they've pissed off the military, which is the only thing that stands between them and mobs with pitch forks.
I don't know if they realize it, but they're dumbasses. Time will tell how this all turns out, but the seeds of discontent are sown, and the crop of anger is huge.

Harry Reid Commits Seppuku.....Not Really
....but he might as well. YouTube videos are beyond the reach of the mainstream media, guaranteed to get some attention and, in this situation, lead to terrible things for Harry Reid.
When A Career is Over
Peter King has a new admirer. Peter King might as well find a volcano to jump into. It's that, or admit he can't be trusted - like Jeffords - jump parties and fade into obscurity.
