Absurdity is the New Norm

According to sources, (which once meant credibility; not so much these days) the Russians deliberately made an effort to influence the U.S. Presidential election. The media, since it's the media (which once was staffed by people with integrity) is reporting on speculation, theory, and whatever they can dig up on Facebook.

This may come as a surprise, but Russia has never been a close friend to the United States. We've allied with them, went to war with them, influenced their economy, and never trusted their various forms of government. We've never given them keys to the ballot box, or allowed them to vote, so unless somebody comes up with proof of that type of tampering, the release of hacked emails, whatever the source, which show corruption of government officials, is just news reporting.

Useful....and Maybe an Idiot

The world is a dangerous place. Those that dabble all over the globe realize this, and those that abuse their power should; but many have ego problems that prevent the realization they're expendable to those that really don't answer to any higher authority.

After watching the current administration ignore many laws, dabble in the politics of dangerous countries, take payoffs from foreign powers, and ignore the ethics of a healthy society, I wonder who is in so deep, their only out is to disappear, whether they want to, or not.

Well, I'm Surprised....Or Not

According to think tanks (dumbass assembly), government agencies and news reports, healthcare premiums will rise due to the Affordable Healthcare Act. I could have told them that a few years ago. Of course, they would have needed a cranial extraction from their anus at the time. Unfortunately, the affliction they had - and have - doesn't lead to asphyxiation. If it did, the world would be a much better place.

Some Words of Advice

I was driving down the highway, when I spotted a young man walking on the opposite shoulder.

He wasn't wearing a shirt, which is not unknown, but my words of advice to the young man are:

 "If your physique immediately brings to mind the phrase "meth head", it's probably best you keep your shirt on."

At best, people are only amused, or insulted. At worst, the police might find a reason to stop you for questioning and discover that warrant for not reporting to your probation officer.
