Belligerent Ignorance

I've read where some cities are deciding to allow the illegal aliens to stay and ignore the mandates of law. If existing laws are followed, anyone involved is committing a crime, which make me wonder if a patrol officer will be willing to be charged for following the demands of a corrupt official. Time will tell. Using the excuse they were only following orders won't insulate them from state and federal charges. 

Officials, Attorneys and Negligent Homicide

Criminal negligent homicide is a charge for neglecting important things, and someone dies due to the neglect, or reckless behavior. A good example is someone that neglects safety, drinks too much, and kills someone, when they drive into the opposite lane of traffic.

How can the people of California ignore this example of a criminal offense, and still allow their officials to use the power of their office to prevent the citizens from protecting themselves by removing hazards that contribute to out of control wildfires?

Personally, I think all involved with supposed environmental actions that cause death are criminally negligent, and should be charged. This includes the governor, and members of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Court. They've been directly involved with the death of many, and the citizens of California should demand their prosecution.

The Airline Rep Goes To the Fast Food Restaurant

AR: "I want a large hamburger, with fries, and a medium drink.

Clerk: "That will be $7.45"

After giving change, the clerk hands the rep a small cup,

AR:  "I paid for a medium drink"

Clerk: " I know, but we gave another customer your cup."

AR:  "That's not right."

Clerk: "I'm sorry, but that's all the cups we had, and the other customers ordered medium drinks, so we gave them your cup. That, and we're out of large buns, so we're giving you a small bun"

AR: "Look, I paid a large hamburger, and a medium drink. If you didn't have either, you shouldn't have taken my money as though you did."

Clerk:  "'I'm sorry, but we never know exactly how many people will order large hamburgers, with medium drinks, so to handle the problem, we sell too many, even though we don't have the items."

AR: "That makes no sense at all."

Clerk: "If you think that doesn't make sense, you should try booking a flight on an airline."

Inconsistencies

I noticed many of the protesters on Saturday were wearing hats that looked like someone skinned "Hello Kitty", or were full face masks shaped like a vagina, with the generally unattractive woman's face in the middle. While I'm sure they found the hats had some significance, they made me wonder.

What do you think would be the response if men decided they needed to flaunt their solidarity by wearing penis hats? Would the media be so willing to show them on television? Would people automatically accept what some consider insulting? Would there be a world wide show of solidarity with millions donning caps with penises and marching in the streets, or standing around cheering, while some trash cans burn.

Personally, I wonder about the mind set that finds being described as a pussy as desirable. I know how I'd feel if someone called me a dickhead.

Hoarding And The Government

During my life, I had to deal with a hoarder. It was interesting to say the least. Cleaning up the mess took months, and what was found was sometimes amazing, but mostly disheartening.

I found things still in unopened boxes. Also, I found important things, but many were ruined due to being buried in junk for a long time. Very little was salvageable, so most everything was sent to the dump. Finding the bottom revealed damaged floor, and walls, that required replacing, or paint. Luckily, the damage didn't lead to removal of the sub-floor, or affect the floor joists.

Our government has turned into a cooperative hoarding operation. Important things are buried in junk, and the junk is constantly added to by bureaucrats. Finding the useful items is not only a waste of time, most are damaged by years of accumulated bureaucracy. The junk has accumulated to the point there is no method to the dysfunction, and the actual damage of this mess is hidden somewhere under the piles.

Cleaning up this mess requires an effort by those in D.C. to admit their problem, an intervention by taxpayers to demand an end to the hoarding, and a strong effort to remove the junk that is not only costly, it prevents any effort to repair the basic structure of our government.

Somebody Fill Me In

News reports, and an interview, confirm Bruce Jenner is a woman trapped in a man's body. So, he'll probably pay the big bucks to have his penis removed. After that, according to what I read (It's not for the faint of heart) he'll have the doctors create the new plumbing from salvaged meat scraps thrown away by the butcher....no that's not true; they'll use salvaged parts from his own body. I'm guessing they'll avoid any tissue on his face. He has to keep some looks, since he's not a very pretty woman.

Anyway, since he was married to a woman, does that make him a lesbian? Has he broken any marriage laws? What about his Olympic medals? Surely he broke some kind of rule by competing as a man, when he knew he was a woman.

Some days, the Twilight Zone seems as ordinary as a summer evening; sipping iced tea; and enjoying the cooler temperature.  I think I'll go to the back porch, observe the young blue jays, and determine the most discrete way to prevent squirrels from trying to chew through the side of the shed.

Something I Noticed While Voting

I voted early. I had the time on Thursday evening, slipped away from work a little early, and went to cast my ballot.

What I really liked was being asked for identification. That's the law in Texas, and mail in ballots are limited to certain people. I even told the election workers I wished they had a bottle of ink, and everyone should be required to dip their finger after voting. They smiled, and didn't say a word. I have the feeling they walk on eggshells, due to rules.

One thing I noticed, and it pissed me off, was the "Spanish" option on the screen. That sucks. If you can't read English, you don't need to vote. That should be removed, and anyone asking for such a thing should be escorted from the voting site.

"Oh!. That's racist!"

"Nope. That's common sense."

I'm Pissed at Mexico

I'll start this post with the warning I'll do everything I can control my vocabulary, but I'm not making any guarantee. Sometimes, shocking language expresses better than anything else.

Why am I pissed? Tens of thousands of diseased, emaciated, unaccompanied children pass thousands of miles through a country and what's offered? Nothing, except con men, thieves, rapists, murderers and thugs.

As far as I'm concerned, Mexico is nothing but a shit-hole, run by criminals and we should not just close the border, we should send a battalion down there and let them go neanderthal on the government.  While there, they can single out the drug cartels and turn their mansions into burning piles of rubble.

I'm Guessing He Went To College

Dennis M. Crowley had this article posted on CNS News. I'm guessing, from his article, he feels a college degree is necessary for security clearance. Since he feels a college degree is a security requirement, I wonder what he suggests should be the proper degree for maintenance and janitorial services?

Don't look at me, I didn't make this up.

Turn Signal Etiquette

For those that aren't sure: Slowing down, braking and then turning on your turn signal is ass-backwards of the correct procedure. The correct sequence:

1 - Turn on your turn signal to signal your intention.
2 - Gradually slow down, which allows those behind you the opportunity to change lanes.
3 - Use your brakes until you're at a speed which allows a safe turn.

Wasn't that easy? Now, if you can't remember, tattoo these instructions on the back of your hand...just don't use the hand that holds the phone stuck in your ear.

If you've ever tinkered with a computer that has one of those before Windows ever loads....and it tells you of a corrupted registry.....you know you're having a bad day at work.

I found the fix, but it's just another task that I really don't have time to do.

Been Working Hard

I've been busy working hard in Galveston, Texas the last two days. I might post something about it later, but I'm too tired at the moment.
