In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

What They Don't Show

There are a multitude of television shows about buying a house, or remodeling an older home. Some have astoundingly high prices involved, and they all don't show the costs only a homeowner knows. They show the price of the home, or cost for remodeling, but they never show the average insurance cost, taxes, HVAC monthly costs, or the extra costs for travel for a home a considerable distance from work. With the mortgage amount, the other costs, and the fact some of the buyers are spending north of a half million dollars, I wonder how they can afford the thousands each month, and still afford groceries; especially when they have children.

My opinion is the shows - in spite of calling them reality shows - are mostly fiction. That, and give those with exceptional ignorance an unrealistic view on home ownership. I may be wrong, but with the reports so many are struggling with costs, the fiction became a reality that has dire consequences.
