In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

How It Doesn't Work

The Obama campaign is panhandling like winos at the intersection. They're asking for people to skip meals, donate garage sale proceeds and even asking people to cut down on wedding expenses to help with their effort.

Here's how it doesn't work:

You've placed so many people on public assistance, they have no cash; what little they have is used on lottery tickets and cheap alcohol; and your voters will probably abstain from going to the polls because they need the money for gas.

Dumbasses.

So Here I Sit...

...with nothing to write. Inspiration is like a drop of water on a hot sidewalk.

Bleh!

Who Do You Believe?

I've been thinking foreign governments were responsible for the dangerous situations for U.S. diplomats and citizens overseas, but this report, and similar reports, indicate the U.S. government didn't heed warnings and lax security led to what happened. We we warned, yet Obama, Clinton and many others just went about their political pandering and ignored warnings at the anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center.

Which way am I leaning? So far, this administration has been the most dishonest and feckless I've seen since LBJ, so I'm leaning towards a failure on our part to protect our citizens. Time will tell. The thousands involved in intelligence will lead to more understanding when this administration is out of office. I'm betting we'll be sickened when we find out what actually happened.

Who's Next In Line?

After the brutal murders in Libya, who do you think is our next ambassador, if we even have one? Who will take on the job of appeasing the terrorists and being an embarrassment to the world?

If I was a foreign ambassador, I'd have already tended my resignation and be on a plane headed for the states. There's no safety, the position is of a fool and the reaction of having "Ambassador" with this administration will lead to some serious misgivings for future employers.

It's serious business when the United States is treated without respect, especially when those that disrespect our country have their hand out and allow our citizens to be in danger due to barbaric practices of religious fanatics.

It might be time to push back. Start with economic retributions and the deportation of diplomats.

Thank Goodness for the Overseas Media

The Independent, in the U.K., has this report on the attack of the Libyan Embassy. According to the report:

"...According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted..."

Otherwise, between the lack of attending briefings, a failure to insure the safety of foreign diplomats, and their staff, two of the most powerful people in the country dropped the ball, allowed U.S. citizens to die and even worse:

"...Some of the missing papers from the consulate are said to list names of Libyans who are working with Americans, putting them potentially at risk from extremist groups, while some of the other documents are said to relate to oil contracts...."

In the end, thousands of lives could be affected by this incompetence and the damage may be irreversible.

The reason for the post title is the lack of critical reporting by the U.S. media. They're in the tank for the current administration and are up to no good.
