In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Those Who Don't Know History...

...are destined to repeat it. Or, they watch their high school band do something really, really stupid.

I'm appalled. I wonder if the parents of the students have a clue?

Observing and Reporting

I've started observing a few different things, mostly while shopping at Walmart, or other public places. The two things I really concentrate on observing, (after attractive women) are grossly overweight people and those that can't wean themselves from their cell phone long enough to thank the cashier and accept their change.

My report? There are too many people that are grossly overweight and can't wean themselves from their cell phone. There's some kind of relation between the two, although I haven't found what it is.

Oh well. Back to observing.

Some Quick Math

If a stadium has 5000 seats, and is not completely full, which of the following is the correct answer:

a. There were less than 5,000 people at the event.

b. There were more than 5,000 people at the event

c. 18,000 people attended the event

The super smart media guessed answer "c". I'm guessing whoever reported on the event didn't do very well in mathematics. That qualifies them for an advisory position on the Obama Campaign.

Ahmadinejad and The Occupiers

I'd rather this be a fairy tale, with dragons, evil people, their minions and the ultimate ending where they're all cast into an alternate universe, but....it's not. The Iranian madman is meeting with the occupiers.  Maybe lightning will strike, or they all develop a conscience and jump off a bridge. I can only hope.
