If a stadium has 5000 seats, and is not completely full, which of the following is the correct answer:
a. There were less than 5,000 people at the event.
b. There were more than 5,000 people at the event
c. 18,000 people attended the event
The super smart media guessed answer "c". I'm guessing whoever reported on the event didn't do very well in mathematics. That qualifies them for an advisory position on the Obama Campaign.
In Case You've Wondered
My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.
If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com
One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.
I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

ReplyDeleteMinimum it qualifies them for a position on his economic advisory board.
I'm thinking they have enough of these math geniuses on staff. They already believe taking water from one end of a pond and pouring it back at the other end will make the level rise.
