In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog:

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Another One Bites the Dust

Way back when, when dirt was still new, R.E.O Speedwagon was a far cry from the pop music that brought them fame. Gary Richrath cooked on the guitar.

He's passed. No reason was given for his passing, but at the young age of 65, there's no telling the cause.

May he rest in peace.

  1. Oh man, how sad. Interesting that you say 65 is young. I see myself as old already. I'm not handling this aging thing very well. I feel like time is running out and I haven't DONE anything. Or not what I'm "supposed" to do. I tell people here (real life around me, the few who are still listening because most don't as I said in my post recently) and they look at me like I'm this negative thing. Hey, realistically, ya know? Anyway, sad news and it led me somehow to a CNN page listing all the people we've lost just in 2015 so far and wow that was depressing too. I better get busy. With something.

    1. I feel that way sometimes; life slipping away; and the important things I'm supposed to be doing not getting done.

Then, I'll grab a beverage, and go watch the birds. As they enjoy the food I provided, I realize my grand tasks are really something more simple.

  2. I played the grooves out of one of their live albums in my youth. Great band. Awesome guitar player.

    1. As the band changed members, the music became pop drivel, in my opinion. They were a kick-ass rock band, when they started.
