In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

I Think This Will Turn Into a Mistake

The proposed new government agency which is supposed to make the government more efficient will be hiring. Otherwise, another agency will be created, which will be run by the government, and I doubt anyone that has more brains than a house plant will believe it won't become another bureaucratic money pit. Congress is supposed to do that job, and it's the President's job to reign in spending without the aid of another bureaucracy. Regardless of the plan to have the agency disappear after the job is done, I don't believe that will ever happen. It's like drinking alcohol to fight cirrhosis of the liver.

  1. the govt is too big, as is the country. it should for practicality purposes be subdivided, like a cell dividing.

    1. It's way too big, and wasteful beyond the imagination of most people.

  2. I believe the intent was for it to be staffed by volunteers, i.e., unpaid. Successful folks that can jump into an organization and turn it around.

    1. I don't trust the intent of politicians or bureaucrats. Hopefully their intent is what we get.

  3. I believe it was Reagan who stated the nearest thing to eternal life on planet Earth was a government agency. I see no reason to believe this one will be any different from all the rest..

    1. I can't trust any facet of the government. They've turned into a parasitic breeding ground for incompetent, lazy and deceitful people. Supposed altruism is a ruse to accumulate wealth, pay for power, and create slush funds for corruption at a cost to honest taxpayers.
