In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Anchor Fibs

Brian Williams doesn't tell the truth. For those that support NBC News: Where do you find the line between fact and fiction? Can you ever watch their news broadcast again, and not feel you might be given fiction, instead of facts?

  1. Comes as no big surprise. I think many of us know that most of the news we get from mainstream media belongs in a book of fairy tales.

    1. The major networks have sunken to depths any journalist would find horrifying. They are not to be believed and anyone that watches only contributes to things that harm in the long run.

  2. Everything's copacetic now... Dan "Fake, But Accurate" Blather came out today and said that Brian's "an honorable, decent man", or some such bullshit. Hell, he'll probably be given a pResidential Medal for his years of slurping his master's scrotum, uh, serving his master's agenda in the Whore House.

    1. Brian Williams is as credible as the fictional character by Jon Lovitz. If NBC doesn't demand his resignation, and offer their viewers an apology, their ratings will continue to sink.

    2. MSDNC had to ask the Titanic to move over and make way as they came plummeting by after the latest ratings period. They may be the first network to ever have negative numbers, in the very near future. If they weren't propped up by the Silver Spoon Socialists who pay to keep their lights turned on and cameras rolling, they'd have been relegated to the dustbin of history long ago. They, along with Algore's long-lost, misbegotten abortion of a network, should be called "The Ebola Networks", since they bleed money out of every orifice.

  3. "That's the ticket!".... great comparison (the fictional character by Jon Lovitz)... older folks have experience and an enhanced BS detector and have developed at least a short list of trusted sources.

  4. He now says he was "mistaken" regarding which helicopter he was in. HOW can you not remember if you were in the helicopter that crashed or not?

    1. He's full of shit, that's how. I flew over 300 missions on a certain USAF aircraft that I'd rather not name. One would definitely have a VERY vivid recollection of the events of a "shootdown", especially if their entire experience in a combat zone consisted of a few short helicopter rides. Hell, I can vividly recall each and every "close call" (no shootdowns) that we had over the years and my memory isn't all that great anymore, thanks to my former professional drinking days while in the USAF. ;-)

    2. Brian Williams has lost any credibility. Continuing his efforts to justify outright lies only makes it worse.

  5. I'm new here so forgive me if I am speaking out of turn but I think it would be fitting to keep him on the air, just as an example of pure idiocy. I can't help but think of the drinking games. Like "ooh...better do a shot-that one's a doozy!"
