In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Picking Up The Garbage

I've never understood how people that will demand immediate action, when their garbage isn't removed from the curb, will idly sit and let the feckless Federal government waste so much money without getting anything done.

Maybe it's the size of the tasks, but still, if the trash isn't removed, the garbage continues to pile up at the curb.

  1. I'm waiting for the trash pickup at 1600 Pennsylvania.

  2. It's the case of NIMBY: Not In My Back Yard. If they can't see it, touch it, or smell it, they're not interested.

    1. Nor have the least amount of empathy for those affected.

  3. I love the Penn & Teller "Bullshit" series, which I'm sure you've seen and probably have a shrine to in your basement, lit with those electric candles because real candles are dangerous and should be banned of course. Well, it's a comment. I suck at commenting. Obviously.

    1. I've never been much for candles. When you put them out, the smell of the smoldering wick offsets any pleasant odor the scent might offer.

My shrine is filled with solar powered LED lights, which look like candles, but are environmentally friendly, green powered, offer no heat, and let me pretend I'm an astronaut in outer space.

And, I'm glad you visited to comment. If I'd known you were coming, I'd put on another pot of coffee and cooked some extra pancakes.
