In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

Legacies

With the current transinsanity being embraced by the likes of Busch, and Jack Daniels, it's obvious those that run the company are oblivious of their market, unwilling to accept their consumers have moral values that don't agree with theirs, and those that can will run with the money, if they can find someone willing to buy what may be a useless product. Both business were originally owned by people that passed on to their heirs a success, which is now gone. The heirs made a tidy profit during original sales, employees were thrown into the gears of the corporations that now run the businesses, and it's easy for large corporations to close the doors if things don't go as well as they envision. That, or sell a subsidiary.

The embracing of abberant behavior has many consequences, but with minority participation, there's always the possibility the majority will not only reject the behavior, society will turn on those that participate, and the consequences can be grim. Whether this happens is yet to be seen, but the multi-national companies that are pushing the products don't have any qualms about promoting any behavior that increases their sales. The original integrity that led to quality products is gone, and those unwilling to accept alternate lifestyles that conflict with their morals have choice. I have a feeling the effects will only be minor.

As a side note, neither Busch, nor Jack Daniels are owned by heirs. Bush is part of an international company, and Jack Daniels is owned by a Brown-Foreman Company, which is another multi-national corporation. Neither will be harmed by boycotting one of their brands, since they have so many to offer. Unless people only buy from local companies, the constant search for anything (whether immoral, or not) to increase sales will continue unabated.

  1. Oh, they’ll hurt, Jess. Maybe not right away…but eventually. As a former marketing guy who had to hustle to make sales to make commissions… if my VP pissed off my entire market with something like this, I’d scream bloody murder. Chances are I’d either quit or be fired. So it would go with all their sales guys. They’re going to slowly boil off their talent in the name of diversity the same way the military did.
As it is their marketing VP is (((coincidentally))) a horrible liberal jewess who is now stuck trying to sell a product to hard working, middle class heritage Americans and good ol’ boys. I don’t see that ending well for them.

    1. I have a feeling the current marketing nitwit will soon hit the road, but even if that division goes bankrupt, a new product will be introduced, and the crap will go on again somewhere else.

It's getting to the point the big push of transinsanty will lead to a pushback that won't just include product boycotts. Their demand for being part will lead to lead to dangerous situations when they try to gather. They should have stayed in the downtown areas, not been so vocal, and kept their low profile.

  2. Painted themselves into a corner, haven't they?
If they apologize for their mistake they'll draw further attention to their stupidity and piss off the trans activists.
"Get Woke, Go Broke" truly applies here... interesting to watch as it unfolds.

    1. It would be fun to watch, but those trying to make a living working for the company will be harmed the most. In a perfect world, the clown executives would run a gauntlet with those they hurt on both sides.

  3. Yup, A/B is owned by foreigners. Augie Busch the (insert number here) was the last.

  4. As a marketing guy I am absolutely flummoxed by this. If I was a sales rep for Anheuser Busch, paid performance and commission... I would have had a friggin BIRD about something like this. It is almost 100% impossible for something like this to get past even a moderately competent sales force.

The only thing I can think of is that the workplace is not so politically correct that any kind of self correction is now impossible. How would you like to stand up in front of your VP and tell them that their pet marketing strategy is so stupid that it is bound to fail? It would be the end of your job.

I can just imagine the sales meetings now. When the young, empowerd jewish VP asks asks why no one spoke up about this, she'll doubtlessly blame her underlings. This hierarchal thinking is going to kill the Western corporations and possibly the nations themselves if a stop isn't put to it. They now have no moral lines or boundaries, and refuse to see those of their customers. This only ends one way.
