In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

BSOD

If you've ever tinkered with a computer that has one of those before Windows ever loads....and it tells you of a corrupted registry.....you know you're having a bad day at work.

I found the fix, but it's just another task that I really don't have time to do.

  1. I have a laptop that would blues screen every time I plugged a cat5 into it. I made the BSOD my desktop. Took IT a while to figure that it was my desktop image :)
Eventually it only did it (and does) when I plug in one particular thumb drive.

  2. Tell the truth I haven't seen Ol' Blue in quite some time. A few years actually now that I think of it. Time to upgrade the systems?

  3. I suspect my blue screen was attributed by office staff that use my computer to print job photos and a power failure. I'm thinking they panicked and turned power off to the computer without ever thinking the battery backup would last for at least an hour.

I might be wrong, but if not, they'll never fess up.
