In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog: scratchingforchange.blogspot.com

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

So, What Did He Get?

With Russia's control of Ukraine, it now has a substantial amount of control over the rich farmland, the mineral resources, southern ports, and most of all: All the information needed to extort U.S. politicians, including the President. Considering Europe won't dare interfere, China will only want to congratulate Putin, and the U.S. government now will turn the other way to prevent exposure to corrupt politics, Putin played his hand well. Meanwhile, the big money managers will make billions on currency diddling, and everyone else will suffer higher prices.

  1. Know what Jess? It never occurred to me that Putin wanted the Ukraine for its resources. After you pointed this out, it makes sense.

    1. The Ukraine has lots of resources, good coastline on the Black Sea, and has been a target for occupation for centuries. If I had to guess, all the manipulation of the Russian economy for years, the arrogance of other countries against Russia, and the fact the only real threat to Russia is China, which is usually an ally, Putin is going after what can keep his economy strong. The best move for the U.S. at this time is to throw the Biden horseshit energy policy in the trash, go back to developing our energy independence, throw a few dozen treasonous bastards in jail, and ignore Europe. We've wasted too much money for them to continue to piss on us.

    What scares me most?
Pootie has a ego BIG as all outdoors.
He's now being embarrassed by Ukraine's freedom fighters.
What does he do when he gets desperate?

  3. Ukraine, and particularly Kiev, has been the birthplace of the Russian Empire. And the spiritual center of the Russian Orthodox Church.

    1. From what I know, the Ukraine has good crop land, natural resources, including strategic minerals, and a strong people that somehow always end up with crooked politics to control their lives. It's a large country, has miles of coast on the Black Sea, and with the push to become part of NATO, a strategic location that directly threatens Russia.

I don't know much about the economics, but Russia has suffered since the nineties, has too much corruption, and the people have been pawns of tyrants for centuries. It seems Putin is desperate, which makes me wonder who is jerking his chain.
