In Case You've Wondered

My blog is where my wandering thoughts are interspersed with stuff I made up. So, if while reading you find yourself confused about the context, don't feel alone. I get confused, too.

If you're here for the stories, I started another blog:

One other thing: sometimes I write words you refuse to use in front of children, or polite company, unless you have a flat tire, or hit your thumb with a hammer.

I don't use them to offend; I use them to embellish.

I'm looking for a mobile wifi data plan for my laptop. Looking at all the usual sites, with bells, whistles, redirecting links, bullshit by the pound, and an obvious strong effort to sell me a new cell phone, leads to frustration. This will demand I go into one of the usual stores to talk with a "qualified" representative who will show me all the bells, whistles, bullshit by the pound, and make a strong effort to sell me a new cell phone, which I don't need....I'm content with my old flip-top.

So, over the next few days, my patience will be tried before the court of public opinion, and I hope it doesn't lead to arrest.

  1. I have nothing of worth to share in answer to your query but that has never stopped me before. I not only don't have a smart laptop but I don't evven have a phone (i'm typing this from my home desktop)... Once I leave the house, I cannot be tracked electronically. Except by that drone there.

  2. I think I'll be going with a pre-paid mobile hotspot. That removes a contract, and keeps me on my toes with data usage.

  3. in the same boat. been using verizon but even though its "unlimited" they slow it down to dialup speed when i hit 15gig, and to top it off there's no way what little i do on the net uses 15 gigs.

    1. Too many sites load videos, or gifs, which eat up data. When it comes right down to it, just give me the text, and let me decide if I want bells and whistles.
